What About Antonio?
Hi there, thanks for visiting my Blog, just to let you know a little bit about myself, I am currently working as Senior Software development manager at Yahoo! Brazil. I am in charge of an agile team focused in developing compelling solutions for the local market.
Previously to Yahoo! I was in charge of the WebMedia team at Globo.com, which is responsible for all the solutions regarding audio and video technology and the integration with TV Globo’s engineering team (CGE) to brigde the Broadcast projects with the Internet media.
I’ve being working with Internet Media for the last 8 years, participating on several high scale/high volume projects and being responsible for some of the biggest events in South America, like the live broadcast of the Germany’s World Cup in 2006 and the BigBrother Brasil reality show and the whole TV Globo’s Internet video infrastruture and production processes.
Prior to Globo.com I worked at RealNetworks as Sales and Systems engineer and again working on some of the biggest telecom and media companies in Latin America.
Right now I am really interested in how to change the culture and the processes of a company, adding more agility to the development and delivering more value to our customers, I am specially studying about SCRUM and other agile development methods.
I am married and have a son, also I am a total geek who loves to play video games, to buy gadgets, to work with technology and people, and to be able to experiment new stuff all the time.
Once again thanks for your interest and take care,
Antonio Carlos Silveira
